Hefounded the world-wide Ramakrishna Mission and introduced the Vedanta Movement into the USA. AnotherIndian syncretic movement operating in the West is Brahmo Somaj, founded in 1830 by Ram Roy. KeshubChandra Sen became its leader in 1866. He died in 1884.[33] Abdu'l-Baha, son of Baha' U'llah and next Guardian of the Baha'i Faith, was released from imprisonmentas a result of the Young Turk Revolution of 1908. He then went on a world tour carrying the message of hisfather.
